Fair enough. I'd rather Thompson started but it won't happen.

Regarding the Taylor/Sheridan selection, not much to choose between them. Just don't think PP will throw Taylor into the opening fixture.

From what I have seen Thompson looks no better than Deasy. Decent shot stopper but not great on crosses.

So far it's a similar level of performance as last season.

Need Taylor on for Sheridan and Peers for Hulme. Hulme and Sheridan are not fit.

Just stood in the bar being goaded by away supporters, well done to the least professional football club in the world. Football keeps moving on, we don't. A shambles

a disgusting set up off the pitch today

No away end open

No segregation

All day drinking in the terraces

An Alty fan assaulted in the bar

We got all we deserved

But Wayne none of this matters, it's immaterial that a once proud football club is dragged into the gutter and is a laughing stock and the object of derision amongst rival teams and that the loyal, hard working and long suffering supporters are treated with utter contempt, so long as the Chairman and his cronies can sip sweet sherry in the boardroom and choose the away teams MOTM

I'd suggest people boycott the bar until our supporters are treated with some respect. Football has moved on, jovial banter over meat paste sandwiches and a flask went 20 years ago. But then again, we don't catch up with things quickly do we. EVERY game at this club be segregated and should have been for years. How low do we have to go before the penny drops?

what can i say...new manager, new team but same results...

they broke and scored each time...wasn't happy about the none segregation and stood where i always stand with my young son behind the golf rd goals...i reckon if we had scored it could have been ugly on the terraces

one of their fans couldn't even stand up before the game in the bar and looked liked he'd p155ed himself , welcome to the lower lower leagues

i didn't think we were awful and i hope this is the wake up call we need as we aren't the peacocks we think we are, the problem we have is every game will be a cup final for the other teams

just my opinion though

We're Penny pinching bastards, we should be making this a hard place to come, not letting people have a f**king great day out. I don't need this after we've just been battered by a bunch 15st runners. Determined to dumb this place down to a family day out. Well I won't be back in this bar until it's a proper football club again, shameful

I walked into the bar at HT and walked straight out again when there were dozens of boozed up away fans being vocal in the queue to the bar. Absolutely no issue with the Stafford fans at all, but let them do it on the away end. When home fans are wanting a pint in the same place (and their team is continuing to be sh*te as well) it was obviously going to lead to confrontations. Plain daft (on and off the field).
