Pre-season friendlies
« on: April 29, 2017, 08:48:34 AM »

Remembering that home games are against clubs higher up the pyramid, and away games against those lower, I'd like something along the lines of the following :

Home : Crewe Alexandra, Stockport County, Chester

Away : Trafford, Hyde United, Buxton

I think it's important to play realistic opposition to fully appreciate our potential.

I think Buxton are in the pub league too, but I basically agree with your point. I guess we'll get a United team too and possibly Macc given the Neil Sorvel connection.

Buxton are indeed in the same league as us.....what a silly bunt I am.

Witton if they don't come up (I hope they do though). If not, Bamber Bridge perhaps. But NOT Droylsden thank you.

We tend to play a Counties team, usually Abbey Hey but last year Widnes. Wouldn't be surprised if we had Alsager this year as Phil used to manage them
Bet we don't put 12 past them.....

An away friendly at West Didsbury and Chorlton would be a good one to start with. Finished top half of NWCL Premier Division and the ground is in Chorlton Green which is great for a drink!!

Last time I was in Rhyl, two years ago, even the sea had given up on the place.

I remember https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=%2b9BgVGdx&id=9068B0A7B859C35D186AA75C79635FCC965C1497&thid=OIP.-9BgVGdxueSg7yhQpnUh_AEsDG&q=rhyl+monorail&simid=608031366131878028&selectedIndex=0&ajaxhist=0

Now its more https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=7lZjeh%2bL&id=AA612F8DEC1DF52E12270C536BF0327124C5646B&thid=OIP.7lZjeh-LPY2BLuySaA0GtQEsC1&q=images+of+sh*t+in+rhyl&simid=608045445033362485&selectedIndex=1
ironically the first picture caused the second. A 1 million pound monorail to no where that no one wanted which bankrupted the council

Rhyl used to be a beautiful place with busy beaches full challets and Erics bikes

I'd settle for Ireland.
