Sponsored by tears, misery and disappointment.

Emile Sinclair looks like Suarez compared to the other nominees, IMO.

Has to be Phil Marsh, he actually got some game time and was so far out of his depth.

I forgot all about Sinclair.

This raises the haunting spectre of 'player' of the season.

In my view this is either not held to show respect to previous winners, or it is handed uncontested to Fabio Bassangue to demonstrate how abject we have been.

An idea I considered proposing to the club was to dedicate the Player of the Season award to the fans, in a bit of a 'twelfth man gimmick. After thinking about it a bit more, though, it's probably wiser to simply not make mention of anything. Such is the severity of our downfall this season, something like that could easily look quite condescending.

I really do believe it should not be held. It is wholly inappropriate and insults some great names from the past.
If it is held I shall vote for Fabio.

You could make a case for Sean Miller because he's been a bright spark and he's scored some crackers, but I whole-heartedly agree that the award should not run this season.

The first 2 are made up names, surely. Did they play for the first team?

Metz, loanee from Burnley, supposedly a champion sprinter. Played at Halifax without distinction then injured and went back.

Bell, loanee from Gateshead. Looked slightly promising in a poor team display at Gainsborough before being subbed. Went back to Geordieland and has since been in their first team picture.

Why limit the vote to strikers who have left the club?

Assuming that we now have Reeves, Owens, and Hobson left who are out and out strikers, none of them would rate worse than the bunch of clowns above.
