Today's game has been postponed due to the pitch being frozen.

There was only ever going to be one outcome, given Mr Taylor was doing the inspection  :D

Seems a shame really. It's dead sunny here in Marple

Pitch would have been fine by 3pm, suns out now. But fair play, we need a bowling green to play our silky passing game.

I thought it might have survived - Warrington Town's game down the road from me has just been passed fit and everywhere still frosty here. Then again, its cold in August at Cantilever Park!

I'm only a mile from the ground. The sun has so far failed to penetrate the freezing fog here in Timperley.

Agree with Romeo, nothing controversial about this call off whatsoever. Freezing fog is freezing fog, as sunny as it might be elsewhere the whole of the golf course area is shrouded and no sun is getting through.

The sun has just appeared but I doubt it's either strong or early enough to have had any real effect.

Considering the fog hanging around the ground and golf course now, even if it wasn't frozen there's a reasonable chance it wouldn't be playable because of the fog. Especially once the sun dips
