Anyone got any photos from 79-80/80/81 that could be posted/ scanned on here, fancy a sentimental screensaver.

Thanks Darren mate, too small for a screensaver but a welcome addition to my pictures album. Look at John Roger's hair, he'd be a yard faster today without that!

Any photographs of Wembley 1978 should feature that classic banner:

"Kate Bush Loves Heathcote".

Anyone know who was the mastermind behind that one?

still reckon that was the best banner ever closely run by the infamous Alty's got brains not leatherheads (no self interest there then )

some where i have a photo (front page of the guardian no less) of us leaving for wembley from the train station.
some rogues on there Sw were you one? i know there was me, phil hall, una stubbs, foxy, dirtybook bradshaw, simon arron, chris wrigley, dave hardy, steve watson and others i cannot recall. there is only me and simon that still profess to be alty fans out of all of them.

jeff johnson gave me his shirt at the training session beforehand and i wore it to wembley (not many replica shirts in those days ) scarf tied like a tie round yer neck and few tins of youngers tartan or a couple of bodkans all that was needed for a good day out in them days

The nostalgia-fest is running now, Gazelle if its 78 you mean then no, I went by coach from the Vine, was on the special for the Enfield final. Stayed with mates in London for the Runcorn 86 game....got arrested on the Friday night for having a pi$$ outside Victoria Station while my so called look out was looking out the wrong way! £30 fine, seemed lots at the time.

The 78 final was the big one though, first time and the start of the real big times for us as Alty fans, the following 4 years were a real rollercoaster, we were spoilt in hindsight. I'd take a repeat though!
