Smoke bomb on the pitch and someone goes on to collect it?

Softer than sam heathcotes defending on the goal.

Two poor poor teams in a game bereft of any real quality whatsoever.

It will take weeks to undo the carnage inflicted on the club by the lunatic Young and the geniuses on the board who appointed him to begin with*.

At times, especially in the first half, we actually looked a lot more like a football team than the uncoordinated rabble of Young's time. So there is some improvement and some encouraging signs (but obviously loads of work for a capable manager to do).

*Not hindsight either or being wise after the event.

Agree with the above the last 2 games we seem to be taking positive steps

But let's not kid our selves we have been destroyed by a terrible manger

It's going to take another 4 weeks at least to build confidence and structure

New manager has got one hell of a job on his hands. Stockport weren't up to much , but we are a desperately poor side. I'm just hoping that some of the players aren't on contracts until the end of the season because if they are we are a genuine relegation side. We looked better organised in the first half today with a more balanced formation but at times in the second half we were carrying 2 players and we got punished for it.

utterly bizarre over celebrating of equalising to a team 4th bottom....how the mighty have fallen.

consensus around me was that we are just a couple of quality players short and we actually played some nice football.....our second goal was sublime....was that not quality?

Any manager should see Altrincham fc as a fantastic opportunity to manage a top part time non league side...

Agree on all that. Millers goal was delightful. He just checked and adjusted his body as the ball bounced just before him skidding off the turf, he let the speed of the cross do the work and just guided it back into the far corner. Magnificent.

Having seen the highlights via Stockports site the fact that our second goal was described by their Twitter feed as a 'tap in' is now even more laughable. Though yet again our defending from set pieces and the way we backed off and invited a shot for their second goal was also laughable.
