Top secret ...............but can only assume we get something after 'x' number starts........otherwise Sunderland have purchased a Premier League striker for 5% of his true value

We get a certain amount after 'x' number of Premier League appearances, only the board know how many though. His squad number has also changed this season to 14 which may indicate he's going to be used in the first team squad more regularly.

He had an excellent 2nd half. I didn't see the first, but he got sunderland going.

Also had an assist.

He only got subbed towards the end to add some fresh legs after he had had an excellent 2nd half. No Sunderland player shone in the 1st half.

Quiet first half like most of the Sunderland team but was excellent after the break. They lost their attacking threat after he went off, seemed an odd decision by moyes

He was the best player on the pitch in the second half.

There was a piece about him in the Guardian on Thursday. Alty got a passing mention.

Interesting comparison - & perhaps more perceptive than he realised - by BBC reporter at Sunderland v Shrewsbury last night (Weds). In describing the Sunderland goal he gave most of the credit to Duncan & said he reminded him of Steve Heighway. You have to be of a certain vintage to get the point; for the uninitiated - started in non-League (Skem); university educated (economics & politics at Coventry); picked up by a big club (Liverpool); winger with a high-stepping running style; went on to play international football (Rep of Ireland). The frightening bit is that Steve Heighway is now 68 years of age ... I'm getting old!
