If Fylde hadn't taken their feet off the pedals in the second half I think the Chester result from 1929 would have been put under serious pressure of being broken.

On that bombshell, the current team should be in no doubt what is expected of them over coming games, seriously we need to go out with the mindset of C**ting both Gainsborough and curzon, for both restoration of pride and goal difference..

Trying to get a positive from it, having only supported Alty for 9 years and missed all the historic glory moments (apart from Guiseley Promotion and the FA Cup televised game with Burton), I have now been at the ground for another historic moment.

Well in 98-99 we didn't win until Sep 19th with a late goal against bottom of table Spennymoor. We went on to win the league (not suggesting this will happen this season)

We had quality at this level 98-99, or was it 97-98 ? Harris, Ellender et al
