He's only 21 and originally from Wigan, so although he's signing from Fulham he's a fairly local lad. Loan spells at Aldershot and Weymouth last season. Got a decent name as well. Will try and find out a bit more about him.

Played for Bury U21 for a bit and he's been on Question of Sport

Many on the forum were critical of Young for not signing a keeper in 24 hours

It seems odd telling players they are not needed if you don't have replacements lined up that you are sufficiently confident about that you can stick to timescales you have announced!  the squad he has released were less experienced when they got us out of conf north and few of them have reached an age where they are going downhill.  I'm still a bit bemused by the scale of change and the apparent lack of replacements that were ready to be brought in.

Fair criticism if you ask me. That's not because I think we're late on making this signing, far from it. However if you're going to put a time stamp on something like that, which he did, then you should be able work to it. If you don't then you obviously open yourself up to criticism.

Its the 17th May you knob

Should we cancel any offers to Reeves and Rankine because they dragging their feet then?

Give the guy a chance, the whole squad needs rebuilding, it isn't going to happen overnight
