I think it's Nick boshell That's been released Phil, Danny is their assistant manager, unless you've heard different this is what thier website says

"A number of players have been released by the club, including Ryan Toulson, Ben Parker, Gavin Rothery, Danny Hall, Liam Dickinson, Nicky Boshell, Oliver Norburn and James Hurst."

I suspect that might have been tongue in cheek  ::)

Both N Boshell and Rothery are wide midfielders and well regarded at CN level, must surely both be affordable and worth a look if they'll come over to the North West.

I didn't say we SHOULD sign Liam Dickinson. I said he fits the manager's stated player profile! Wholehearted, popular player with strong dressing room presence who gives 100% every game! I can see, that with 10 players due to come in, it's going to be a long summer on this forum! Charlie Joyce has already been declared as sh*te on here and not even the Southport fans can remember him!
