Yeah, last I looked, we had 20 league points. Today and Sat are big games and the FA cup needs to be put to one side. They've had a trip down to Portsmouth so may too be feeling the effects.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was draw but the re-appearance of Rankine and Clee on Saturday were encouraging..

Hoping Very much that it's not an after the Lord Mayors show type game tonight. The lads will be tired after their battle at the weekend. Good that we've got some options back but not looking good for Luca this evening, but fingers crossed.

We certainly need our 3 orthodox CMs (and accordingly, 2 wingers - especially given Crowther's form) over having Lawrie at No.10 - this was glaringly obvious in games like the Halifax one.

It wasn't glaringly obvious against Chester though was it when Lawrie's switch from right wing to centre after 20 minutes changed our ability to keep possession of the ball and create chance though was it?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of James but I disagree with the notion that the team picks itself - if James goes through the middle, and Crowther also starts, it leaves somewhat of an imbalance on that pesky right hand side - unless you also pick Bowerman and sacrifice a deeper CM, which I'm sh*t scared of doing at the moment - especially with O'Keefe now getting up to speed a bit more. I'd rather have all 3 CMs on the pitch at the moment.

Slightly trickier for Lee than people think I'd say. Hell, he should just pick the same bloody XI as Barnsley  :)

What is the matter with you??

Of course the team picks itself. Clee isn't fit to play 90 minutes. Neither is Rankine and probably not Crowther.

The midfield 5 is Lawrie Richman O'Keefe Moult Crowther with Reeves up front.

Bowerman is not the answer ahead of Lawrie!

That's exactly the team I'd pick, and the point I'm making. There's nothing wrong with me (last time I checked)  :-*

Anybody going for a drink in Macc before the game?  I've lost all concentration at work now, but don't fancy hanging round Macc on my own for 2 hours.

Won't be fit, I'm afraid. That was the word on Saturday night. Hamstring. Think James Lawrie was having treatment from AA on ankle knock, so may be late test.

Now that the Wrexham fixture on Saturday, 5th December 2015 has been postponed owing to our FA Cup commitments, we have just a single home league game before Christmas.

During the same period, we face four demanding away fixtures:

(i) Macc: who believe themselves to be play-off contenders;

(ii) Bromley: currently the leading goalscorers in the league and lying 4th in the table;

(iii) Forest Green Rovers: the current league leaders;

(iv) Cheltenham Town: presently occupying second position in the league table.

If by the time that we encounter Chester at home on Boxing Day we still reside in 19th spot and have also retained a four-point cushion over the relegation zone, I will breathe a huge sigh of relief.

And should we still have an interest in both Cup & Trophy at that point my cup truly will run over! The aftereffects of emergency dental treatment prevent my attending this evening but my fingers are crossed - down to the barest of bare bones we may be but the same spirit as on Saturday may yet provide a result. Good wishes to all those going!
