"Paul Carden has been hard at work confirming on Tuesday evening he has made four new signings and has re-engaged on contracts five players-Paul Rutherford, Louis Almond, Paul Smith, Connor McCarthy and Matty Challoner.

The new faces include experienced ex Accrington Stanley, Fleetwood and Rochdale player Peter Cavanagh who joins from Altrincham . Cavanagh will be Paul Carden's player coach as his first step into a management role."

Thought he might end up at Southport. Good luck to him, top bloke - I was kinda hoping he'd end up doing something like that over here at Alty.
