CSH acoustics
« on: March 08, 2015, 03:49:51 PM »

Someone please sort them out. After watching that game I've got earache. The sound system needs the levels sorting out. Turn the bass  down and get some sound deadening material spread about. There's no point in having the speakers turned up to 11 if all that happens is the sound echoes off the walls and the hard floor.

And before anyone challenges me over being negative about the amazing facility that is the Community Sports Hall seeing as I'm contributing to the cost of the AV I think I'm entitled to a gripe.

Did they change the settings when you mentioned it during the game?

Atmosphere was good, food sold out, acoustics were poor overall. I contribute to this as well. Turn out was excellent. Over 150 people I would say. Just need to hear the commentary better. Not sure speakers facing each other helps, same when I went to the Sportsman's dinner.

I couldn't hear a word of the commentary or the interviews.

Great turnout and it felt great being with everyone else watching the match.  Not the same as being ther but a truly lovely experience, a very good second to attending a match.  But, as said, the sound needs sorting out

The whole thing appeared to be a massive success, so I apologise for starting a thread with a grump in it. i didn't expect there to be so many there at all.

All in all this made my Sunday. Went to the gym this am first thing, straight to the Community Hall afterwards. Gym made me hungry and given a full English which was superb. I really needed that after my workout. Thanks for the breakfast guys and all the hard work you put in!!

Never done this before but one big advantage of now having the CSH is we can do things like this. Loved it and the result was great. Enjoyed the atmosphere in the centre, especially for the game. Thanks to all for setting this up and for the hard work by the kitchen and bar staff.

Great day, and well done to management and the lads for the three points, and of course for Stu for his great achievement!! After not earning many points from the top teams when playing well I will more than take this.
