300 and something.

Poor.

And I hardly heard you apart from the first ten mins.

Lets hope Stockport get promoted sooner rather than later.
You didn't hear me because I was in Chester. Visiting Macc didn't seem appealing enough to me to take the night off work. Maybe if your supporters were a bit more friendly and treated us with a bit more respect we may have brought a few more supporters. So it is a little loss of finance for Macc Town, which I will not lose a lot of sleep about this situation.

Your keeper was wank so we lumped it up 4600 in may

"Wank" - the derogatory term of choice for a thicko. Bless.

4600 is not bad. How about for a regular league game?
I maybe a thicko but I live in luxury you live in macc

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This is the richest borough in the country outside London you tool!

Not the bits your EDL sympathising support base come from cathy. Have you seen your own fans lately? The Conference equivalent of West Brom, the scruffy, Primani chavs.

😂 Did you just have a little nibble there?

And surely you're not suggesting that an English football team has a percentage of fans that are lacking in fashion sense and have right wing sensibilities?

We must be unique in that.

In fact, its a good job that Moss Lane has the style of the Milan catwalks coupled with a tendency for socialism. Otherwise that comment would have come across as prejudiced, stupid and bitter. 😂

Simple test on prejudiced cathy. Google 'Macclesfield EDL' and post the first few images that come up. Including, of course, the flag inside your ground and a St George's Cross with the legend 'Macclesfield Town' on an EDL march. Anyway, this is a football forum not politics so I'll just allude instead to you all being sheep interfering weirdos from the 1980s. Stick to facts.

It was the 3rd meeting of the sides of the season, not the first, so unsurprising that followings on both sides were down a little. A cold midweek night in feb coupled with hassle about getting tickets may not have helped either but I thought we might have taken more. If I'm honest with you, after the 2 home wins the bragging rights are already hours so last night didn't have the usual edge for me. Still growing back into the rivalry.

Couple of thoughts after my first visit for 17 years that seated stand down the side where everybody used to stand has done nothing for the atmosphere, seems they've spread out everywhere. Didn't hear a great deal of singing.

If they defend like that when facing uphill I'm amazed their home form is so good. If we sneaked into 5th place I'd back us every day of the week to do them over 2 legs now. A few Macc players didn't fancy it 2nd half and went missing bar Danny Whittaker who was the games outstanding player.

Not withstanding the foul on Havern that lead to their goal we gave ourselves too much to do in a tight game so although we did more than enough to deserve at least a draw (and I'm yet to find anyone on either side who disagrees with that) we can't moan too much as it was our own fault.

Great post and sums it up perfectly.

The most frustrating element of the loss last night is that we had a good team second in the league and on fire, completely on the ropes by the end of the game and we are still in the bottom half of the table!!!
Macclesfield are no better than us and we need to believe that we can push on in this league. The manager has assembled a small, but quality squad and as much as it sticks in the throat to admit it, we need to look to teams like Macclesfield for our inspiration.

Good post Brian. The quality of this league is far lower than I, for one, anticipated. I still don't think Macclesfield are playoff materaial even so. We'll know more about our own quality after the next three games.

I'm already starting to think more in terms of next season. And I strongly feel that we need a bigger squad than we have now. 22 would strike me as a good figure to operate with. Bring in the correct new faces and we can look at being very competitive next time.

I know about Macc EDL. As far as I can tell at the Moss it is a group of 20 or 30 idiots who don't represent my or many other people's views. The irony of course is that you are prejudging 1600 Macc fans cos of this small group.

If you google Alty EDL there are links to an Islamic centre being attacked in Alty. That doesn't make you all Islamophobes.

When I was younger, a lovely chap wearing an Alty scarf punched my mate in the gob outside Witton's ground after the Cheshire Cup Final and then threatened to break my nose. That doesn't make you all hooligans.

There are the facts as I see them.
