From what was said by those who saw the Northwich game, the reserves are nowhere near ready to play 1st team. I didn't go, but looking at Mr Ripley's photgraphs, they all look like fawns.

none of the reserves are anywhere good enough for the first team - but they were all better than Gillespie

I think he needs to go out on loan asap. He's clearly neither use nor ornament as things stand, so if he went and got some game time and (hopefully) scored a goal or two, it might just give him the confidence boost he needs to turn his form around.

Actually, at Eastleigh he did ok when he came on helped us keep the ball on the counter.

I can't see Wilkinson returning in all honesty. Talented though he is he was barely trusted last season and even less so this. A leap of faith to think a few games at County will turn him into a conference player.

That said, we're skimping it and won't be bringing in any new faces so he may return at some point but probably to repeat his first part of the season.
