I seem to recall these 3 standing behind the goal on the North Terrace dressed like extras from the Happy Monday's. At half time our subs were practicing and one of them (Geoff Cooper?) took a shot which smashed the cup of coffee one of them was holding, covering them from head to toe much to the amusement of everyone. We didn't hear a word from them in the second half.

Did we really only take that few to Barnet? Seems pretty low even if they are exaggerating

It's absolute garbage.....no idea how many we took but we had just signed McKenna, Showler & Brady & had not conceded a goal in our opening 3 games.

I think that you (and some of the other chaps on here) are talking about the wrong game!

I believe that the 1990 match under discussion on that Barnet Forum thread is this one from the preceding season:

In all likelihood, that is correct, on the assumption that the comment relates to the comment immediately preceding it.

Whether it was either of those games, the comment that we had 3 there is completely incorrect.

It sounds like the Barnet fans may be mixing up the 2 games as well & it appears that it was the 0-0 draw at the start of the 1990/91 season.

The confusion is understandable, there were only about 4/5 competitive games between the 2 fixtures.
