Marshall, Griffin, Lawrie, Perry, Leather were all absolutely outstanding today. Nobody had a bad performance and it was an all round quality team display. Very proud of the boys. They were no mugs. Their attacking options were fantastic and but for a killer ball and worse defending they could have nicked it at the end. Their subs really did change the game for them.

Very pleased with today.  They came at us at 100mph for 15 mins but we gradually got a hold on the game and got better.

They were always going to come into it at the end as they had nothing to lose but we held on.

In the same way very few could be pleased with what they did at Nuneaton, today they should all take heart from a decent showing across the park.

Get on the coach to Alfreton now and lets get another three points on the board.

Enjoyable game! Crowther played well,  a clear confidence player and his game is defo to get at people.  I am critical of Marshall and Griffin but both played really well, defo Griffins best game. However they had nothing to offer upfront and were poor so I won't get carried away about Griffin and Marshall's performances,  they need to do it over a period of games.. I still thought Perry didn't do too much, wayward passing and needs to be stronger and to be honest their central defenders were rubbish. Needed result and good game to watch!

Well, it probably should have been a bit more comfortable in the end, but all in all that was a pretty good performance and result. Griffin was easily my motm - I'm pleased that others have noticed how fabulous he was today. Neither centre half put a foot wrong either, which may have something to do with the confidence they have in Parton behind them. It was particularly pleasing to see the more maligned players having good games today. As I mentioned to the guys standing next to me, Kyle is in the team to head, hold, barge and wind up, so judging him on his passing/shooting is pointless. Today he played his role beautifully. The best team won, so well done to all at Alty.

Sinnot's decision to take Clee off when he did nearly cost us a result.

Of course mate.  It wouldn't seem like an Alty Fans forum post without some negativity.

I saw Foz speaking to him post match so asked him, and apparently it is ankle ligaments.  No idea what that means at this stage.
