I think we only need 2 or 3 players, other than that we a pretty much ready to go, a quality forward, a big centre midfielder and a utility player that can cover at right back, then we have cover for all 11 places.

Im happy to go with a settled group, far easier to integrate a few in where strengthening is needed than do a rebuilding job. We've a confident group of 14 that know each other. Plus the others we've signed since may. 2 or 3 more correct additions and I'll be confident enough we can do ok.

I'd say 3 not sure 2 would be enough in of the opinion that some who have stayed probably shouldev gone however we went up so fair enough

My guess is that we will currently be in agent hell with every kind of player being hawked to us and "they only want £1,500 a week and travel expenses".

We will have players coming down to training and the playing in friendlies as well.

Whilst we know we are going to have to pay a decent whack to replace Walshaw ( and I think we will ) I reckon we'll have to wait until a few come down with their demands first and try to get fixed up at the new money outfits.

I agree, a good forward and a one or two more who are perhaps dropping down from the likes of Grimsby so that LS can pick them up on the way to the ground.

The "Good Forward" (i.e. a 15 plus a season type) is the most critical need. Without more goals in the team than we currently have it's going to be a bumpy ride.

As I've said previously, Peter Cavanagh would solve the midfield problem AND provide the right back cover. And no, I'm not his agent
