I'm sure I read that the club had 'irons in the fire'.

I know that is a cliché but at this stage, we've got to trust that stuff is going on behind the scenes.

As I said previously, failure to sign another decent striker will probably mean a season of struggle for us in the Prem.

If I know that, I'm sure the powers-that-be at the club do too and will be trying their best to do something about it.

Remember that contracts don't expire for another week so lots of players can't sign until the first of July anyway unless they are a free agent or have officially been released IIRC. Many players will wait for better offers from many clubs as well as having trials etc.

Heard tonight that Louis Moult is close to signing for Shrewsbury, so he may well end up at Moss Lane----------- on August 1st.

with England going out of the world cup it's obvious we as fans were going to turn indignantly on our own club....no signings to pacify us = yet another PR disaster by the club.
