My neighbours certainly won't forget it in a hurry, they thought I was murdering someone at 5.28pm on Saturday.   :)

A superb day for Alty and, in many ways, a superb day for football too.

Thanks for all of the kind words about me, the club, players and everything really
This is why I love Non League football
Something you might want to listen to before it disappears off of iPlayer is BBC Radio Leeds' coverage of the winning goal
It starts at around 3 hours and 26 minutes
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01ykqh0
Enjoy! I didn't!
Good luck Altrincham I hope you do well and maybe go one step further than Halifax this season?!

It's worth a listen - it's another way of reliving the moment.

A good bunch, twice we've pipped them and still had kind words. Good luck next season. :)

Yes indeed, and they also covered the semi finals.  I appreciate West Yorkshire is a bit of a footballing wasteland at present AND that Manchester is the complete opposite but there are plenty of non league clubs in BBC m'cr patch to warrant more coverage of the game and the clubs.  I know I'm banging my head against a brick wall, and preaching to the already converted.

To be fair, Radio Manchester needs to cover 7 league clubs while Radio Leeds only covers 3.

Mind you, I thought Radio Manchester's coverage on Saturday was poor given there were no other games on.
