It is sad that such an honest but drastic action has to be taken in the interests of a community club surviving for the next 50 years and says a lot that costs must be so high that they haven't considered simply playing youth players for a pittance for a few years and just sinking to a natural position.

This is after they improved their ground slightly to meet conference standards......we all turn our noses up at what we may term park pitches but on the other hand it shows the financial pressures on clubs in a league where lets face it, most clubs will have sub 500 crowds.......

Sad news that.  Good luck to them all for the future.

If the players can start looking for other clubs, does this mean that some will leave BEFORE the end of the season, leaving a weakened side for the last few fixtures?
Could make a difference at both ends of the table, depending on who their last 4 or 5 fixtures are against  ???

Notice that we play them 2 games from the end and Solihull on last day !

Horrible news, especially given that I quite enjoy going to Rivacre Park. However, in answer to someone's question above, centre back Will Hannigan is defo worth a shout - has always impressed me when we've met Motors.

Always liked visiting VM. Are they dropping to Evo stick or abolishing their squad altogether?

Going to re-start in the West Cheshire League (Step 7 ... 1 step below the North West Counties)
Currently their reserves play in the first division of it - I assume the first team will take their place.

Hannigan would be a great signing but my bet would be Chester going in for him.

My 6 mile away game is now a thing of the past!  :'(
