Very strange and I feel for the bloke.
I couldn't understand why he went to Chester instead of us at the beginning of the season. I assume he must have felt that he could still stand out at a higher level, and according to reports he was a class above the others at Chester and regularly in the Conference team of the week. I think we all expected him to really shine for us.

I don't think it's such a bad thing.  I can't help feeling the team was just a little unbalanced during the two games in which he played (I only actually saw one, mind).

The most bizarre week in Altrinchams history?

Up there with Tommy Doc's appointment?

Gut feeling after last night is that the lad might have felt he was getting in the way of things, therefore stood down.  Could be right.

Sorry but we didn't really need another center back , so IMO no real loss  , be better getting right sided player , no hard feelings and wish him good luck .

Very sad to see Danny go but fully understand his reasoning . No bugger was more excited when I read he had signed for us last week.

Good luck Danny in your future ventures from one ex Urban drive resident to another

Hope we see you regularly on the terraces.

As a long time friend of Danny's I was made up when he joined ~ not because he is a mate but I hoped he would help us get promoted

I'm gutted he has decided to retire and so soon after joining

He has had  a career in football that most could only dream off whilst kicking a ball around Stamford park all those years ago with those coats on the floor as goal posts :)

He has gone so as not to damage the club he loves  and for him the tine was right

Great gesture to refund the shirt that was bought

Good luck for the future to him and his family in all he does

Looking forward to Saturday now and to keep challenging in this league

I think that sums it up perfectly.

I would have liked him to stay longer and maybe he would have been better and more enthused at left back - but that could be just wishful thinking.

Danny has fulfilled an ambition we would give our right arms for - to play for Alty - and I wish him the very best for the future and hope he can get the word Altrincham in the media as much as possible.

Very honest statement from him, would have been easy to sit tight, make excuses why he couldn't play in this match or that match.

Was good to see him in the shirt even for a short time.

Always be welcome on the terraces I'm sure.

Good interview on talk sport from Danny. His reasons were clear he didn't have the desire anymore and did not want to hinder Altrincham which is great. Good luck Danny. Maybe we can sign a right winger now......

Fair play Danny, sounds like playing under Sinnott was the final straw

I can fully understand that

Crass, ridiculous..dare I say pathetic?

Once again a thread is hijacked by the anti Manager...no, actually Anti Alty brigade

Can you not actually get your head(s) round the possibility that by such posts in totally unrelated threads you are, in fact attacking the Club?

This thread, I believe, was intended for people to express either their appreciation of Danny's actions or otherwise but it's about an individual. Take the time to read Danny's interview, he has nothing but appreciation for how he has been treated by the Club with particular mention of the management response to his decision

There are more than sufficient Sinnot Out threads for you to post on aren't there?

I said last night that it looked like danny was just palying on the park. Bizzare turns in the oenalty box and attempted dribbling  Sveral times his legs looked gone.

I have more time for him now than I did 24 hours ago after the worst showing in years for eveery player on the pitch

Lets get this title challange back on.

Id have probably given it a bit more than a week tbh. Can't help but feel this was always his plan so he could keep his promise of playing for Alty. If this was anyone but Danny there wouldnt be so many people so forgiving. All the best for the future Danny even though you've left me feeling a little let down.
