Burton Albion v Grays Athletic
Dag & Red v Altrincham
Exeter v Cambridge Utd
Gravesend v Southport
Halifax v Aldershot
Northwich v Crawley Town
St Albans v Oxford Utd
Stafford Rangers v York
Stevenage v Tamworth

Looking at the fixtures above for this Saturday, I can't help seeing that nearly all of those in the fight at the bottom have extremely hard games against top half and in most cases play-off chasing teams.  The exception is Crawley.

What I can see happening is most of them losing, which wouldn't be too bad (even if we lose as well) - one more game closer to safety.

What probably will happen is that there will be one (maybe two) shocks which will give that team a huge advantage.  I don't see why it shouldn't be us.  Dagenham have already won the league, they celebrated by conceding 4 goals at Cambridge yesterday and have another game tomorrow.  Even a point could make a real difference.

Burton Albion v Grays Athletic   Home win
Dag & Red v Altrincham  Draw
Exeter v Cambridge Utd  Home win
Gravesend v Southport Home win
Halifax v Aldershot  Home win
Northwich v Crawley Town  Draw
St Albans v Oxford Utd  Away win
Stafford Rangers v York  Away win
Stevenage v Tamworth  Home win

I don't really see there being any great shocks. I don't consider Halifax beating Aldershot at home to be that big a shock and I think we are capable of a draw given our current away form.

who would have thought 6 weeks ago that we'd be talking about "current away form" in a positive way especially considering the opposition...back then we were hoping for 2 away wins to keep us up. Most people predicted Northwich and St Albans and Tamworth and instead we've beaten Morecambe, Stevenage, Weymouth and St Albans and drawn at Northwich with Tamworth still to come.

With the team rested and if a couple of the injuries cleared up we would have a fighting chance.

A similar result to last year would be fantastic.

I think you've made a very important point here. Two games in three days over the weekend was just too big an ask for our squad, especially given our current injury situation. Dagenham have another game tomorrow night while our players get to rest up for Saturday. This may level the playing field just a little bit.
