Message from Lee Sinnott

Karen Rowley has asked if I can get a message on from Lee Sinnott, who came to find her after the game.

He wanted to individually thank all the Altrincham fans who supported us on Saturday and those that could make the journey again at such short notice and obviously couldn't do so personally at the end.  So he asked if it could be relayed.  So here it is.

I thought Lee, and all his management team acted with complete professionalism throughout this pantomime. From the, at times severe antagonism and provocation, to the farce of having Colwyn bay's manager trying to referee the game last night, to Colwyn bay's manager refusing on pitch handshakes at full time. He prepared the team excellently for what were tough and unusual circumstances last night, many thanks and well done for your dignity and professionalism throughout the whole farce.

Appropriate the message but surely LS could have registered on the forum and posted it himself.

Shocking disengagement with fans.

I was just saying last night that LS has maintained a dignified silence throughout the whole affair, good to see a manager (and his team) displaying such professionalism and letting the players do the talking on the pitch, unlike others!

I have been watching this drama unfold since Saturday evening. Altrincham FC, it's board, management, players and supporters have handled this whole affair with great professionalism and dignity. Ultimately the 'best team' in every regard has prevailed.

All joking apart, the forum is not the place for managers or players.
