I spot a weakness
« on: November 11, 2012, 01:20:37 PM »

After watching that video of our goals from burton again, and yesterday's match report

and it was hard luck on Albion as they battled superbly to repel all of Cheltenham's best efforts only for a late corner to be their undoing as Mark Oxley failed to safely collect at the far post allowing the former Torquay and Bristol Rovers man to poke home from close range.

Based on the first game, I'd also like to see Stuart coming for crosses much more. All three of their goals were scored from inside the six-yard box, with Stuart right on his line. He's little chance of saving anything from that range though, so I'd rather he came and missed in a way - at least he's got a chance of affecting things that way.

Much as Stuart is a very good NL keeper, I've never quite felt 100% confident with him on crosses when the box is congested. It's probably just down to the fact he's not that big for a keeper.

We know what we're up against a very direct side with Luca back should help but as you see at all levels it's difficult to defend

My overriding memory of Burton was that fact that every ball they put in the box was quality and dangerous.

I expect it again but if we can attack even 75% as well as we did there then they won't have it to put in the box.

I have this sneeky suspicion that an Alty player is going to put in the game of his life.

Possibly Duncan before he signs for Crewe for £350,000 plus £50,000 if he plays for England and a 15% sell on clause.

Can't see anyone outside the championship paying that sort of fee but.
