We have to win this, we really do. Even a draw and then take them back to Moss Lane and beat them there would be great. I know too well about our horrible record, but we did get some tough draws with the exception of witton away, and we should be looking to finally break the cup curse. Sinnott's standing will go up a significant amount if we do manage to win a cup game or two. Come on Alty!

If we lose there it will be depressing, I agree with you we have to win this, we really do.

A piece of sh*t 0-1 win will suit me just fine. A few grand in the bank and within sniffing distance of a decent tie.

I agree it's a banana skin.....if we're not careful it could turn into a hot potato......

it's got humilating defeat in front a couple of hundred rosey cheeked home fans written all over it.

But not this year! this year it's our year!!!....we may as well go out and spend the £4,500 now!  ;D ;D ;D

c'mon Alty!

anyone else noticed the nawty draw of the round? Salford City v FC United Of Manchester ....tasty!

We haven't scored in the cup for 4 years, time to delete that depressing record.

I agree with Jezza lets get down to Harvey Nichols, the cash is ours

Must be tie of the round that one, didn't realise Darren Sheridan was Salfords manager.

We knew that whatever the draw, it was always going to be a hard one (Halifax, Chester ect.) or a banana skin

Some of you lot are puddled, a tough draw, a horrible draw! If we play to our standard, it will be a comfortable passage into the next round and it is about time that happened. I for one am looking forward to it and should be able to travel up for the game.

even if we do play to the best of our ability its still gonna be tough. so yes its a horrible draw. its a massive game for them and they will work hard and play to the best of their ability, no matter what this IS a tough draw. in my opinion this is a harder draw than witton last year which is kinda worrying :/

A word of warning to anyone going there by public transport. My son lived up there for a while. It is a Newcastle stronghold. Anyone walking around in red and white stripes should be very careful. Geordies are not the brightest of people at the best of times. On a Saturday night after a few brown ales they can take offence to what they see as a group of stray mackems. As for the game, a comfortable 4-0 win.
