It's a great pity to lose a player with the ability to play with his head up - but if he's being offered a full-time job in the present economic circumstances he'd be mad not to take it. Good luck, Scott.
My one fear is that someone might think of Densmore as a replacement in midfield - in my view that would be a grave mistake. Leave him at right-back and don't give him licence to roam - too often in such circumstances he turns into a headless chicken.
Here's wishing the management a peaceful week in which to prepare the squad for the first real game.

Why would we want our goal coaching man in midfield?

Decent touch and a nice passer of the ball - didn't fancy him winning many 50/50's though. The biggest problem here is timing. If Everton had offered him the job in June it wouldn't have been a problem to find a replacement, but a week before the start of the season, I can't see us snapping anyone up to replace him.

Baring this in mind, who from out current squad can replace him as our "cultured midfielder"? Densmore would probably be the number one candidate from the current squad, however I still feel he is best at Right Back. Simon Richman could probably do a job in there however he did seem to give the ball away a lot last season. I'm yet to see Lacey play so I can't comment on the possibility of him partnering Carl Rogers in midfield.

Anyway, best of luck to Scott - working as a youth coach for any premiership club is a wonderful opportunity and I can have to qualms with him leaving.
