Only the Asian owners left who chose King. The board wanted Burr.

Have they photoshopped his bulbous head onto someone else's body here?

Doesn't even look the same person. Maybe his time at Northwich made him turn to the rugged look.

He's clearly wearing a syrup in the picture above, but appears to have enjoyed a Rooney-esque hairweave on the new one  :D

Was talking to a mate of mine who's a Lewes season ticket holder about Steve King yesterday and the general view there is that he only achieved the success he did by spending a fortune. When a fans' consortium took over at Lewes a few years ago, they decided to make their accounts for recent seasons open to the public and when they did and fans saw just how much King had spent, they were flabbergasted.
King's second spell there was a failure because the club was being run responsibly by that point and he is now widely disliked and distrusted by Lewes fans.

My mate also said that he's heard the only reason King got the Macc job is because the owners at Macc (or at least someone in authority there) are also his agents.

His overall view and that of most Lewes fans was that this appointment means the Silkmen are in big trouble...

Wasn't it King that resigned as manager of Lewes after their promotion to the BSP over the lack of money he was going to get to spend? I fully expect Hyde to go exactly the same way as Lewes after the resignation of their manager in similar circumstances...
