By my often flawed reasoning, no less than seven teams go into next saturdays games with relegation on their minds.

IF Vauxhall were to win away at Droylsden, they would  gift us 8th place irrespective of our result

otherwise we need a draw.

Any one of current 14 to 20 COULD go down depending on results,

Staly need a 3 goal win , and Halifax to lose to make the playoffs.

I think that Stalybridge can still get into the play-offs at the expense of either Nuneaton or Gainsborough, too.

Gainsborough have 70pts, and Nuneaton would be safe on goal diff.........I Think!

After today's results, Gainsborough and FC Halifax are on 71 points; Nuneaton have 69 and Stalybridge are on 68.....I think!

It should strictly be a given, as Stalybridge entertain Hinckley next Saturday - one in the playoffs and one in the Evo Stik on the form book.

Assuming we do Stalybridge a favour by beating Gainsborough - and I think we will !
