Our Finest Hour (and a half)?
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:56:46 AM »

I had the pleasure of being in the Jasper Carrott Suite at Birmingham City FC on Thursday morning.

I thought to myself that this was our greatest ever win.

We were the last to win away at a top flight side and I cannot see it ever happening again. Especially as the majority of BSP teams are now full time, you have to be plucky plumbers for it to count.

Yes, partly hot too. Still let's not get sidetracked by food which happens all too often on here..

I remember when the result came through on Piccadilly radio shouting down to my dad we had won...

"Don't be bl**dy stupid!" came the reply!

Wimbledon at Burnley in 1974 (?) were the only other non-league winners at a top flight team.  One nil to Wimbledon.

4 days out - I'll award myself a cuppa tea for that.

1975 - Windsor Davies & Don Estelle singing "Whispering Grass" - eeee Our Ada how the time flies...
