Big thanks to Alty's main sponsors (Carole Nash) for helping us understand the error of our ways by forcing us to take the big Steelmen flag down because it was covering up her name on a billboard proclaiming "The Carole Nash Terrace". Apparently she was in the ground and had taken great umbrage at this apparent "insult". In retrospect it would have made me act like a spoilt sh*t too if I was sitting at my local ground unable to watch the footy because I couldn't see my name written on a little board..................

I'm fairly sure that Carole wasn't at the game last night and I am even more sure that it is common practice at every ground I have visited to request that advertising boards are not covered by flags.

I don't actually recall many, if any instances where what would have been a polite and reasoned request by Stewarding staff has resulted in such a spectacular throwing out of toys and spitting out of dummies.

If I'd not just typed two paragraphs I'd say that words failed me

The 11 Corby fans must have puzzled for ages over where to put their flag on the 1,400 capacity away terrace.

They could have put the worlds weirdest flag anywhere else to either side which they did.

Sponsors pay a lot of money for these boards and they should never ever be covered up

there was some nonsense about a flag at York a few years ago - the one that says Hating Macc since 1903. 

Guess York was full of visiting Macc fans that day...
