Alty Kits???
« on: October 20, 2011, 07:14:52 PM »

I was out before when I saw about 4 or 5 kids in what appeared to be Alty kits. Thinking that the revolution had finally came I gave them a shout of Up The Alty. However I was informed by these slightly confused and frightened children that it was in fact St.Hughes football kits they were wearing. On closer inspection they turned out to be last season's kit with the sponsor, badges etc taken off and a St.Hughes's badge crudely sewn on. Bit weird, surely there would be a cheaper way of getting a kit?

Isn't our very own Brian Flynn a member of the St Hugh's synod...?

I didn't have any involvement with the kits, but that reminds me, I must send you the Wordsearch from last Sunday's Children's  Liturgy Group.......Mrs. Pikesley will love it!

Heyes lane was much better when i was leaving in 2001/2002. Even the 'B' team annihilated St Hughs 'A' team.

To be fair, Heyes Lane was just a lot better in general...

It could have been worse,

they could've all been wearing Arsenal shirts, and then some stranger could have shouted 'Up the Arse !!'

I must confess...I was captain and goalkeeper of the short lived Heyes Lane C Team. Our only game resulted in a 5-1 loss to St Hughes B. I am a disgrace.  :(
