Robbie lives in Manchester.....Eccles, I think.

Good luck to him at Telford.

Lovely lad and always gave hundred per cent

No getting away from the fact he played more passes to the opposition than our players though and his best games were when he was told what to do and where to stand by young/Joseph.

Wish him well at Telford though

I'm quite sad Robbie has gone, I thought Lee might get the best out of him. He has lots of ability but lost a lot of confidence last year. You cant blame him for wanting to play at BSBP level, with good coaching he will do well for them. Does anyone know if Telford are to be part or full time?

I read in the Shropshire Star recently that they are staying part time...  They have a good set-up at The Bucks Head now.

I noticed that Stockport have released about 11 players so I would think that Smithy will end up at Edgeley Park... I will be sorry to see Smithy leave Alty...

That makes sense as Robbie has a good job in IT so I'm sure he wanted part-time footy. He lives in Eccles.

I will miss Robbie and his Dad at home matches and I wish Robbie every success at Telford.

I couldn't really give a shiny sh*te that he's gone.

Okay, he could head a ball but if you trained a giraffe for a few hours I'm sure they could too.

All I can say is that the good people of Wales mustn't have been shagging in the late 80's for him to get capped for the country.

Yeah, he's a nice lad but so's my next door neighbour who hasn't got any feet and he can't play football either.

Au revoir Robbie

Whilst I'm hardly going to lose any sleep over him leaving, some of the comments are incredibly harsh.

Let's remember that Robbie was an integral part of our best season for over a decade.

Okay so he had a pretty dreadful season but let's show some respect, eh?

Chill out guys. I'm only having a laugh!

I agree that he had a decent season in 09 but last year he was pants.

He's gone, get over it and look to the future.

We need a horrible bastard at the back as Hughesy said earlier and Williams isn't that player. He would have got torn a new arsehole in this league.

And before you say I am being 'footist' my next door neighbor does have feet and I was only joking and I apologise to any forum members who are sans feet. No harm was intended in the posting of my previous comments.

Now let's get on with supporting those lads who want to play for us and forget about those who don't.

Maybe so on both counts,....but finding a replacement who is better will not be that easy. And with Lee (ex FL CB) coaching him, he could have been brilliant again. (Terry Brown of AFCW once described Willaims and Young as best CB pairing in the BSP in 2009/10).

Lets hope Lee can find someone as good/better then. ::)

Yes it will. We've already signed one decent centre half and there are plenty more out there.
