Who will he bring in? What will he do with the club finances? What kind of interesting snacks and drinks will we have? Will Moss Lane be renamed theElectric Blue Boots Arena? Exciting times at Altrincham FC Free Kick Specialist XI

I'm getting a lot of Peakes, maybe some people can't handle the truth of who our manager should be.

If i was a betting man, I'd say Andy Preece would get the job. Jimmy Harvey and Andy Preece both have Conference North experience a nd seem to fit what our board are after. Not saying I necessarily agree, but that's been my guess since the start.

Gary Lowe?? Let's be honest folks, he's managed Glossop (I think) and Curzon Ashton. This is Altrincham Football Club we're talking about.

And GR has just said that the budget will be in the top 10 in the BSN.

Which is good news, as some of the names being banded about on here made me think we'd cut the budget by 95%.

Let's get a grip people, without being big headed or disrespectful we're still quite a big name at this level and we should be looking at coming straight back up, not settling down for an easy life. It was our collective (including GH in fairness) refusal to accept we would ever be a Unibond/Conf North club that dragged us out of the gutter and back into where we have so pruodly sat for most of these last 30 years/

I love the sense of fun at alty even during this uncertain time.....the chairman of a football club who have just been relegated, lost their manager and have one 'player' on the books announces the calibre of applicants is high including one who has done very well on his pc games.....top stuff Mr Rowley!

The bookies have him at 12/1 to land the morecambe job,and looking at some of the sides he has been scouting for,he may know more about the bsn than we think.
