I started looking through these and got quite upset!

Then I carried on looking through and that changed to feeling of pride.

Look at the youngsters on those pictures.

There was a time when I knew nearly everyone in a Alty kit at the match.  Now there are loads of them.

There was a time when there was ten of singing behind the goal trying to get other youngsters to come and stand with us.  We must have had 200-300 yesterday, I know its an exception but we always have 100 around us and we don't really have much to cheer.

Of course, some will drift off or find other things to do but some won't and they will form the base of the club going forward.

They must be strong..fend off the haters who'll say "Who they playing..Solihull Moors!" but there is a flip side to it.

We might win a few games and then it might get easier to talk people into coming.

There is no question the Conference Premier is the place to be but I think we go down with a stronger base to build on than before.

Looking at them, and the other hundreds of photos over the course of the season has reminded that despite us going down, its important that we all stick at this. Despite some dreadful results this season, we've had some tremendous support away from home. Long this may continue.

remember you need the bad times to truely apprechiate the good times!

we'll be back. i hope sooner rather than later

Give them two seasons and they will be right in with the chanters, our generation stood at the front and gradually moved backwards up the terraces until we found ourselves mixed right in with the older fans.

Hopefully next season we can have a few Youth days, I still think we could have benefited from an U-16's for £1 or something last Saturday.

Not being able to get to games i was very pleasantly surprised to see how many teenagers appear in these photos as ecky says we will lose some but there is a massive base to work on and get involved.
The older guys shoulkd make sure they encourage the youger ones . it is amazing how much they will look up to the singers and the characters and to be recognised by these really makes you feel a part of it.
I am"" ashamed"" to say i felt about ten foot tall when george bobble cap heslop once sauid to me ""why dont you come with us"" when i asked him the best way to get to hyde (i think it was the first game after wembley).

Youth its the future i have seen it

Thanks for your comments.  I was going to post a link earlier but in the time it took me to get registered on the Forum, you managed to find them anyway.  The site received 10, 236 hits yesterday and has already received over 300 today ... and it's only 08:15.  I'm sure this will be the most popular set so far ... at least until Sunday's FA Vase Final at Wembley. Thanks for your support but why not have a look at the other football sets: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ccpub/collections/72157623468136029/

The club, and the problems part-time clubs face in the Conference Premier will be featured in an article written by my colleague Andy Ollerenshaw in the next issue of When Saturday Comes, along with (I hope) at least one of the pics.

Good luck next season - you have a tremendous club that is being well-looked after. I'm sure you will be back but even if it takes a few seasons at least you will be in a better financial state than the majority of other clubs at this level and above.
