Go Goodwins end sponsorship after a decade
« on: March 10, 2011, 11:59:55 AM »

Many thanks to geoff and family for all the support, and good luck with the future. Full article on the back page of the SAM,i cant link it from my phone. Heres hoping we can find a decent new main sponsor,a task that will  be slightly easier in the conference premier... Hopefully the huge number of airlines that fly into next door will be courted...a nice advert on the main stand roof for them like at brentford

Echo the thanks. A non football fan who got hooked on Alty FC.

How would this effect the 1st team transport I wonder ? Would the club still be using Goodwins coaches or sourcing them from elsewhere ?

It had to end sometime. We owe Geoff Goodwin a massive debt for everything he's done for us, amazing considering he's not really a football person. Never forget that without him we wouldn't have a club.

spot on Taxi Phil.

I remember we had an advert for Couth African Airays up for years during the apartheid era. There was meant to be an advertising ban on them...

Indeed thanks to Geoff and his family, I hope he might still have some sponsorship of the club? A pitch side board  (or 2) maybe?

So who next? I woudn't like to suggest. But the Barney's Chippy stadium doesn't really have the same ring as Moss Lane!

We need some serious investment, I hope that one of the local businesses take interest.... Otherwise (if we stay up) without that investment, we will really be struggling.....
