I agree with the original post. We're all gutted about the result last night, absolutely gutted. However, if we want something to hang onto, let's look at Histon. They were turned over at home by Hayes & Yeading on Saturday. What do we think their fans were saying after that result? Probablythat they were doomed and it was an abysmal result. Despite this, the players bounced back last night by proving they had the stomach for a fight. We need to do the same against Kettering.

Kettering are bang in midtable, little to play for in all honesty. This is the kind of home game we can win if we're really up for it. I seem to recall Clee tearing them apart at Moss Lane last season. More of the same please, Nicky!

Little to play for?

How about playing for a manager that has taken us from bottom four to that mid table position?
How about playing for our third consecutive top 10 finish since coming back into this league?
How about not giving up on the play offs just yet? (As rightly said somewhere else, still 16 games to go.)

We have some hungry young lads in the side now, totally different team to the one you played in September- in fact only Marna and Solkhon will start from that X1.

See you all in the clubhouse Saturday.

All admirable sentiments, I'm just going on what we see season after season. Teams right in the middle of the league often tail off a tad as it becomes clear they won't be going up, nor down.

The playoffs are gone. Absolutely no chance of you overtaking all the teams you'd need to make 5th.
