This sort of ridiculous red card is exactly what we don't need if we are to stay up. We simply haven't got a big enough squad to replace people who get sent of for what basically amounts to childish petulance.

Edit: if the red card was for a professional foul the above is obviously not applicable.

Not much going on is there? Sure there isn't a season's highlights DVD on somewhere!

Poor decision according to foz, he won the ball according to some at the game, nothing to do with swearing

From Mister Laidlar:

"HT 2-1 referee has given a very controversial decision in sending off Piergianni for what looked a good tackle after an error by Young."

In all fairness, how would our fans (at the opposite end of the ground) know if he swore or not?

Well done to Doots for making a good save from the pen, by the way!

In all fairness how would our fans (if they are at the opoosite end of the ground) know whether he played the ball or fouled the player

According to my kiddy supporting mate our midfield woke up in the last 15 minutes, we were looking weak at both fullback positions before that. Never a sending off either. "Piergianni walks, penalty saved, justic done" was the exact text.

If your looking straight down a field you can see from 110 yards in a straight if someone has tackled cleanly

All I will say is that if it was a clear injustice, presumably we will appeal the decision and have the red card overturned.

So, playing devils advocate Pete, you can see clearly 110 yards but claim that somebody nearer couldn't see?
