this was always a mismatch. and well it's a nonsense really.  It could force the Cheshire FA suits to have a think about the format / timing / entrants I suppose.

Too be fair on the Cheshire FA they had no idea that the whole Alsager team would walk out before the tie, I would imagine if this set of players had played from round one they would have gone out in that round.
