I wonder why none of the 80 we had their cheered?

One eyed idiots...I can hearly the Alty fans singing on my laptop.

Embarassing commentating

Ecky,

You learn to live with the bias.

It's the sheer incompetence of many of them at actually fulfilling their role as a match commentator that I find bewildering.

How on earth do they get these jobs?

from JL
41 Beesley hauled down by last man but yellow card only for no.25 bad decision

Last man is totally irrelevant it's whether Beesley was more than likely to score that defines the colour of card

Surely if the defender is the last man and he gets beyond him, he must have a realistic goalscoring chance? Or does the ref not rate Beesley either?!

The law quotes an OBVIOUS Goalscoring opportunity - that is normally considered to be one where the attacker is substantially more likely to score than not (or sometimes really cannot miss).  Depending where the challenge was, which direction Beesley was heading in etc. it may not have been sufficiently OBVIOUS

Its been a while since I listened to the local radio commentary for one of our aways. I'd forgotten just how frequently hilarious it is.

On the basis that we are never more than likley to score than not, we will never see a player sent off hehehe

A Rushden fan who is at the game has posted on Confguide that it should have been a red card.
