Blyth Spartans Social Club and Sports Bar
« on: January 04, 2011, 10:42:28 PM »

For all you Alty fans visiting Blyth for our match on the 15th, you may want to visit the newly refurbished Blyth Spartans Social Club and Sports Bar before the game. Beer starts from £1.98 "Spartan Ale" a pint and most if not all of the rest of the beers, including Fosters, are about 10% cheaper than pub prices. Hot pies and sandwiches are available in the ground where you can receive a pass out to be welcomed back into the club which is less than 10 metres from the ground.

We have a fair amount of banter inside the club, which is suitable for children, as well as Sky Sports and ESPN so we will be showing the matches on that day, including the midday kick off if you get in nice and early.

The bar opens at midday and we hope to see you there.

Full price list: Bud £1.99, Spartan Ale £1.98, John Smiths £2.10, Fosters £2.20, £2.40 Carling and a selection of real ales up to £2.40 bottle.

Many thanks,

Real ale in bottles is only real ale if it is bottle conditioned, ie pour carefully to leave the yeast sediment behind. I'd be surprised, usually that means they sell beer in bottles from breweries that brew real ale. It is not the same thing, but not impossible.

For a proper pint of real ale in Blyth from my experience Oliver's Bar is the place to go.
