As horrifying as this is to listen to, we're not going to be able to realistically compete with a team who's 4 strikers are Tubbs, Cook, Brodie and McAllister. I'm not 100% convinced the money they've got is completely legitimate but even if it is, the team they've assembled is too good for this league and it's pretty scandalous if they spend the amount of money they have and don't go up automatically.

Our fate isn't going to be decided by games against Crawley, Luton and Wimbledon, let's fire ourselves up for a very important few weeks after this. And let's hope everything goes against Bath and Hayes second half!

Commentator's synopsis:

"Altrincham, in truth, have been actually wretched at the back."

We'd never have guessed.....

HT 4-0 Crawley have dominated game and deserve to lead but two penalty decisin very questionable- both balls driven against players. Same ref also contentious when we played Torquay a couple of seasons ago
i remember this ref now, blokes an idiot

When did we last score 5 away from home in the second half?

I'd love to know how much pressure these relatively inexperienced refs get at places like Crawley from the likes of the charming Mr Evans and cohorts.

It seems to be crawley's battering ram approach has worked. Quite how drilling a ball against a person's arm from a few yards away is handball, only Phil knows.
Going 1 down so soon will no doubt of hit the lad's low confidence.

Still. its only half way. Maybe we can kidnap the ref, or put something in his half time drink?

Spot on. In a week where we learnt that Northern Premier players get more than we can offer suggests to me that we should take this on the chin and move on. The fact we've been on the wrong end of some dodgy decisions should fire us up with a bit of righteous indignation for the next few weeks.

Spot on....its men against boys.

We all know it....it was always going to be.

After three years of building a team got to a level where we could hold these superstar teams for a while.  The spine of this team went and needs building again.

We simply can't compete with the big boys at the moment.

And as for Crawley, its like the harlem globetrotters.
