Crawleys £1 million january war chest
« on: October 03, 2010, 12:53:42 PM »

As per todays NLP headline,if they really have got a million quid to strengthen in the january transfer window, then the rest of those hoping to win the league might aswell forget it,and hope to win the playoff lottery.Crawley are better off out of the way

Going to end in tears, at least it won't effect that many football fans though when it does.

I'm sure this 'project' will end satisfactorily.

They should win the league, but you just never know. On the face of it, Luton should be second in the table at the very worst, but funny things can happen. A couple of poor tactical decisions, some bad luck, a bit of an air of negativity, pressure mounts on players and staff. Before you know it, you can be a fair bit behind where you'd expected, which in itself lumps more pressure on everyone.

Even though they've started slightly dodgily, I still think the Hatters will push Crawley very close.

Nice to see the wage cap being strictly adhered to...or have they just done away with that?

I read somewhere that they get round the wage cap by giving huge signing on fees then paying smaller amounts but don't know if that is confirmed.

Which makes an absolute mockery of the cap.

I actually hope they win the League. It will upset a number of "Billy Bigtime" ex-League clubs.

Then, when they reach the "Promised Land", still with a core home following of under a thousand, I hope they get get regularly leathered and go out of business at the end of the season. And I hope Evans gets fired before Xmas and can't find another gig.

That would perhaps send a few messages to other clubs who want to overreach themselves in this ridiculous fashion.

It's funny, I was just wondering where GH might end up next (if anywhere). It seems there's a lot of admiration for the job he did here and I've seen him half-linked with a few jobs. His antics over the years have I'm sure done enough to put a few chairman off, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Conference club take a punt on him at some point.

I too hope they win the league and perhaps Fleetwood go up with them. That will leave a few Billy Big Bollox clubs that apparently are to big for this league stuck with having to come to the moss again. f**k EM!
