I find it quite absurd that we are verging on the expectation of "local millionaires" to fund the club. Perhaps, the vast majority have no interest in football whatsoever...which would supercede any millions they may or may not have. Altrincham born and bred, I find it of no relevance whatsoever that there are a lot of wealthy people nearby. Pretty much everywhere in the catchment area of a football club has affluent areas, interspersed with the working class etc. I dont recall when Leeds went t*ts up, the board and the ex-Chairman whining that the people of Harrogate should be a bit more forthcoming.

Stick to what we do best...and cut our cloth accordingly. We may not be able to compete in this league this year, purely on the basis of finances, but it's all about peaks and troughs. The game can not carry on exponentially as it is...this house of cards will eventually tumble, and there is no point in screwing up what we've built, to be in amongst it.
