Initially disappointed he wasn't in the starting line-up, but I doubt he could have added much to last night's magnificent midfield performance. But still I little surprised he didn't come off the bench late on. Hope he's not injured already !

I wouldn't wish to knock the commitment from all those that played last night but I also was left thinking what about giving him a run.

I saw him regularly in the United reserves at Moss Lane and did feel that he would bring an added dimension to the midfield when he signed.

It seems however that he can't get a look in at the moment which is strange.

I think its just his fitness they are working on at the moment as not only did he not have a pre season he also missed the first 2-3n weeks with no club.

He'll come good...his touch and vision are class as you say.

His touch and vision is good, but last night was all about grit, strength and effort.

If fit or not it was right to leave a creative midfielder on the bench in my mind last night.

Sam Hewson and Matty Crowell are probably the only central midfielders at the club who can really unlock a defence. The problem is we have a fantastic captain in Lawton and a fantastic tackling style midfielder in Danylyk who really works his arse off for the team. It's a nice problem to have but I wouldn't like to see one departing due to lack of football.

Could he have done a job at right wing back? Joseph had a decent game but hardly got a decent cross in.

Again as if to emphasise how different opinions can be, having slated Joseph elsewhere, i thought some of his crossing was good as where a couple of balls he clipped down the right channel for Denham to get onto.
