Heathcote needs to start banging some heads together
« on: April 18, 2010, 01:59:53 PM »

Time after time after time we here boring Altrincham this, defensive Altrincham that, I hope when Heathcotes next at a BSP AGM or whatever he bangs the likes of Money, Saunders, Holdsworth's heads together.

Out of 3 VERY difficult games we've come away with two credible 1-0 defeats and a 0-0 draw against a team who at whatever they hit it went in the net...

Money says ''i'll leave you to decide the words for their performance'' and we've heard ''what a pile of tosh it would be watching that every week''  well if we're so defensive and negative why have Luton failed to score in open play against us in 4 full games. We got what we wanted and that was a point, and a bloody good one at that, if THEY couldn't score thats their bloody fault. A fulltime professional outfit should be able to muster more should it not ? A fulltime professional outfit should be looking at their own teams performance and not that of ours to complain should it not ? No doubt while our players were on the way down they were having a nice relaxing pasta salad for lunch after having a light training session and tactical awareness session on the Friday. We probably haven't trained for weeks, have 3 very important players out, have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday for a few weeks and have just 'competed' (and we did) with Oxford and Stevenage. Its getting very boring and repetitive every week hearing these comments, and it is every week because we've improved so much as a team, and in one way it shows how far and what we've achieved this season.
I hope Heathcote and McKenna sincerley apologise for keeping our club up to all these idiots, and our defensive boring negative approach this season will probably warrant our highest position finishing in this league since 1994-1995..

God give me strength !!

It is ironic that in the good old days when we used to play failed football league sides like Oxford, Wrexham and Luton are now, they were so $hit scared of us that they used to come and park the bus.

Two differences were they used to have the protection of re-election to stop them falling to their rightful non league status and we used to have the creativity to knock a few goals in.

They are only saying what Sir Alex would say about them if they met Man Utd in the FA Cup and went all out for a replay for more money.

Richard Money was so short of reasons why his high-flying sharp-shooting professionals failed to muster even one goal he had to blame it on a bumpy pitch.

Seems we can ever outdo them in that department as well

I reckon this will have to be the last season of it.

Its a silly example but would they go to Man Utd at Old Trafford with an out all attack policy?

Bang bang..2 down after 15 mins..no way back..no way of changing anything..game over.

They all seem amazed that we have watched them, planned what to do to give us the best chance of getting a point or grabbing something.  Its like we have no right to do that.

People who just read our match reports must think we have ten players who link arms and stand on the edge of the box.  Its laughable.

As stated on the official site, we didn't win the corner count 4-2 in the first half by just being defensive.

It's just sour grapes. They weren't good enough to beat us and they can't take it.

We were SUPERB!

Even the Non League Paper manages to give us the occasional bit of credit these days.

Their 'Team Of The Day' selection based on yesterday's performances actually includes TWO Alty players:
Stuart Coburn and Ryan Brown.

Remember last season, away at Cambridge on the last day? With nothing left to play for, we produced a superb backs against the wall full on performance to deny Cambridge. Great game, but the main point is we tried that hard because, as GH said its about fairness. Burton went up that day, and as it happened would have done anyway. Would Burton have smiled ruefully if we'd rolled up and got binned 5-0? Likewise, Luton may well note we put all in against Stevenage just days before. OK, we lost 1-0, late goal, but if we'd drawn?

That day last April we met some Cambridge fans in the pub after. Despite their obvious disappointment they were congratulatory and fully understanding of the significance of our performance.

And no, Richard Money, we don't watch it every week, otherwise we'd not be on 54 points would we?

Quite surprised they didn't blame it on the icelandic volcano!  :D

By the way, whose pitch was it? Perhaps they need a groundsman like ours!

Just add him to the list of other moronic managers who believe they have a divine right to beat certain clubs in this division........he and his players have not done their job properly..we have

As GH said in his programme notes...they can always increase their budget and get some better players

I disagree...we do watch it week in week out.....and it's top....absolutly brilliant watching us match these billy big boys in the first half....sometimes we go a goal up and end up winning.....but he can't be surprised if our part timers get tired second half and end up defending what we've got....but even when we tire our boys are still a threat.

Interestingly when oxford went 1-0 up against us they were so scared of us they started to timewaste and di a bit of goalmouth bus parking of their own.

Our problem this year has been creativity and a holding striker to break down the weaker teams....next season that will be fixed!!!!

I personally hope that Luton get promoted in the playoffs and Piss off back to Div 2

For no other reason than it will be good to see them struggle.

For all the other whinging managers in the BSP who continually drip about Alty.... See you next season you sad over-rated bastards...

I take it the bumps developed suddenly AFTER the six goals they put past Histon on Tuesday.
