Staying Up Party v Oxford?
« on: April 04, 2010, 11:15:53 AM »

Who reckons we should get a bit of a party going at the Oxford game?  Few balloons..maybe a couple of hats and some trifle?

Maybe not trifle...but what do we reckon?

The target at the start of the season was to stay up..its been achieved with games to spare and a soild platform has been built to push on.

Lets roll out the staying up songs and make a good day of it...

What no trifle ?

I prefer jelly myself, (with orange bits in) !

There are rumours we are unveiling Gary Warrington before the match?

Are you still back for this GW?

Eat the balloons & hats and throw trifle onto the pitch (then it would be the same quality of playing surface as some of our competitors)

Maybe we could try and get something in the local papers about it - might tempt a few stragglers to come out for the afternoon? United & City are both playing on Sunday next weekend so might be a good match to do the £5 promotion.

Let's get behind this and try to make a real success of it!

The last game of the season is more traditional.

Completely agree with this post Ecky. I was thinking of wearing me santa outfit for all remaining home games this season as CHRISTMAS HAS COME EARLY.  May even go early on sat morning and decorate the turnstiles. Well done 1 & all to do with Alty. Let's celebrate stayin' up.

We are coming up for the Oxford match and a party atmosphere would be fantastic.
I like the Christmas gear idea. How about we all climb in our lofts and route out our Santa hats?
However any type of Red and White day would do. Remember colour photos of Oxford matches are in the NLP every week.

Maybe an idea like this would encourage hundreds and thousands to attend.
