Saughall your calculations are slightly out - we need to average only 1400 or so for the last four games to get to the 2000 milestone for this season.  Nearly there

This fan base is pretty special really . The way we got behind the team after the last 20 plus games and the first half shows how much we want to help drive success.

This is true and we know it.  Thank you.

Hi Steve - sorry for the lack of response thus far.  There will be cash turnstiles at the Golf Road and for the Main Stand tomorrow and planned for every remaining home game.

Altrincham FC First Team / Roll of Honour
« on: January 10, 2022, 10:39:48 AM »
Tomorrow night we will read the Roll of Honour for those fans, players and officials of the club who passed away in 2021.  If you would like a friend or family member included in this list, please let us know.  Given the postponement, even if you have already done so, please do so again.  We would hate to miss anyone.

I think there were 85 odd Alty.  Overall crowd looked like less than 1000.  speaking to their manager afterwards, he thought just over 1000.

That game at Canal Street - I remember it snowed and Runcorn's goal was Barry Howard direct from a corner.

And I was at that game at Stafford too

For me that day in 1976 when Jeff Johnson and Tony Webber joined the club was the start of our long climb to the pinnacle of non-League football.

It showed intent and ambition, it showed us turning our back on the mediocrity of the previous couple of years.

We signed a legend that day, the first of a handful that joined us over the next couple of seasons.  And Tony Webber played his part, even if not the dominant forward we were hoping for.

Happy New Year to one and all.  A very important year for the Robins and we've got the best supporters in the land behind us.

I didn't make it to Tow Law Town, but I certainly recall the York game.  I only had a t-shirt on (above the waist that day) and was subjected to a lengthy conversation with Yorkshire constabulary about whether i was under the influence of drugs (I wasn't) or alcohol (possibly).

I didn't find Ryhope that cold, but I am surprised no-one has mentioned our first visit to Cammell Laird which was a bit chilly

Under Phil we scored in 20 consecutive games in the Northern Premier League after the 0-0 draw at Warrington all the way to the 0-2 defeat at Rushall Olympic (October to March).

The last time we did it in this league was in 1985-6, starting with a 2-0 win over Scarborough on 24th September and finishing on the 15th March with a 1-4 home defeat by Enfield, scoring in 20 consecutive APL games

There is an announcement coming later this evening.  Season Ticket holders will have an early opportunity to purchase, before the tickets go on general release

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: ground safety work
« on: November 09, 2021, 10:35:39 PM »
I would like to state categorically that there are currently NO plans afoot for a new ground.  We have a new pitch that has a life of at least 10 years and we intend to get the full benefit of it.

Work has started today on addressing the first of the issues on the ground and will continue.  We are working with Trafford BC to establish the working capacity for the next two games, and then hopefully a higher capacity for the Southend United and subsequent games.

We will keep you posted

Let me confirm what has been said above.  There are a few dozen seats reserved for Season Ticket holders, and these are marked as such.  Other than that it is a first come first served basis.  It is rare to fill the main stand entirely although we believe we did so for the Solihull game.

Wycombe legend Mark West who made his debut for The Chairboys against Alty in the trophy semi final, scoring in both legs, was playing for Slough that day I note.
