Altrincham FC First Team / Re: schools
« on: July 05, 2007, 09:11:11 AM »
I personally think the leaflets should be given out at schools right across the borough of trafford and also all over wythenshawe as far as the cheadle boundry. Might not do any good, but it certainly wont do any harm, even if we only got a few extras on the gate it would be a result. We need to cast the net far and wide, FCUM are doing coaching sessions at schoools in gorsehill, thats 8/10 miles away from bury. We need to target the children from every area of the borough,Alty,Sale,Stretford,Urmston,Flixton,Partington,We are the 2nd most senior side in trafford, and have a product that is accessable and affordable to everyone in the borough of trafford,we need to make them all aware,I suggest if you live near or your child attends a primary school/secondary school thats a little bit "off the radar" then you should take some leaflets or get you child to take some leaflets to their school. We need to get these out before the season kicks in.As I said previously, I'll gladly do the north of the borough, stretford/urmston etc, Ive mentioned to people before, its great when you see the odd Alty kit up in stretford or old trafford which I occasionally do when working

LIST OF ALL THE BOROUGHS SCHOOLS IS HERE
have a look and see if theres any you could leaflet??

Altrincham FC First Team / Current Confirmed Squad

The squad is looking better and better day by day,it really is, we are still short of width, and hopefully Pottsy will re-sign after working on his fitness and maybe even another winger or left/right sided midfielder,I always feel Bob Lawton is wasted in right midfield, and should be in the middle of the park, and after a couple of years of being "top heavy" in the midfield department, we now only have four at the time of writing!!! The one thing that really stares back at you is the need for a decent left back, a guy with a bit of pace in that postion could see us take a step towrds being a really decent side, him using the left hand birth interlinking wth warren peyton in left midfield would be great to see.So for me we still need (funds allowing) A left back,a winger/wideman, and possibly a target man upfront should we need to change it on occasion. Well done graham for your signings to date!

I notice that some of our games are not included in the fixture lists? i.e farsley away on tue 25th sept and Torquay away sat 8 dec, just totally disappeared from the lists?? I wonder of this is just a cock up,or are these games potentially going to be moved for Setanta, as ludicrous as that sounds!

It'll be the only thing he is "working" on at the moment, spending most of his time outside the country at the moment on taxpayers expense, they used to show photos of people like that frolicking in the sea on the front of the daily mail  :D :D ;D

It'll all be paid soon, Just let us get Madjo et al on contract, build a title challenging side, then we'll come over and weigh in what we owe, like we were going to do on the three previous occasions we were given a deadline to settle the CVA and failed to meet it. It seems even the clubs supporters are thinking of turning thier backs, and who can blame them.

Just you watch them go,they'll win it by a country mile. It'll be the best thing to ever happen to Torquay, much like it was for Carlisle and Shrewsbury.Jim Smith will be out of a job by the end October aswell.
