It seems to me that pay for view TV is the only way forward unless NL gets reclassified as non elite sport where these restrictions currently dont seem to apply ?

This is where the REAL test comes now for Parky, Sorvs and this team. No longer competing with part-time competition, most NL teams are fulltime with vastly higher budgets and squads.
It's great to see we no longer lack the ambition, but it will come down to ability on and off the pitch. The nightmare scenario would be relegation again.
Just trying to survive may actually be the wrong approach, I think we will attack it like Parky has done previously but in the end it will be playing ability that will decide that.

It's going to be an exciting ride ahead, lots of ups and downs but if we can establish ourselves, increase the fanbase and income, promotion IS achieveable long term.

Not getting carried away with these signings until they show us they are better than the excellent lads who have served us so well theze past 3 years.
Max will have to be pretty good to challenge our main man Jordan.

Suspect any more players Parky signs will be on loan. Save the budget for when we need it.

Great news. Jordan is such a character and one of the key heartbeats in the team.
Its going to be very interesting to see how he does with the step up in level.
I think he has all the attributes needed to be just as good at NL level.

Did you know the reason for the higher roof in the centre section of the pop side was to allow for a seating section to be built there if required? In the end it turned out handy for the broadcasting gantry.
Not exactly. It was always going to be a gantry but the new terrace below it was not added due to lack of funds. Was to be standing but cojld be seating too. The whole side to be done one day funds permitting🙃🤑
When was this planned Pukka? More of our curiosity than anything
In 1996. It was the start of a large stand (to go full length) which would be equivalent to Dane bank one (but several years earlier) to give us 10,000 ground capacity to meet EFL req'ts.
The steeper terracing was designed but not built as no money. The height allowed a TV gantry to be added. With steeper terrace access to rear of gantry would have been easy.
Its been sat there ever since but we never had either the need for more capacity or the money to do it,.. yet ! Could still be used, that's called long term planning  ;)

Inevitable I'm afraid, he lives in Shrewsbury and wants fulltime football. More money closer to home.
Thanks for what you did Elliott, big impact in short time,.. hopefully Parky will find us another little gem now  ;)

They havent gone bust,.. just been deducted points so finished bottom.
I presume they will now have to demonstarte to the NL they have funds to continue.
They will get parachute payments from EFL dont forget so will still have more money than us once the fans do their usual and magic up some more money.
Less travelling and another local derby, might even be on for the xmas double?

Awful news, always such a lovely and devoted fan and tremendous supporter of the club. I know he has been fighting hard for sometime but this terrible news is still hard to take in.
RIP Ecky we will all miss you greatly.

Dont forget Parky already has forwards James Hooper and young Louis Salmon from Trafford lined up to bring on and support Jordan.

Marvellous stuff. Congratulations to the team and management.
Thank God that we ditched Doughty and appointed Parkinson & Sorvel.
Fantastic and great see cult praising the management. How times change😉😇

Ian,
I'm absolutely delighted to be able to praise the Alty management. Indeed, I was fortunate enough to bump into none other than Neil Sorvel himself outside the newsagent's near to the J Davidson Stadium earlier this afternoon and proceed to thank him in person for his invaluable contribution to the club's renaissance over the last three seasons, all of which culminated in yesterday's promotion.

My issue was always about the leadership at the helm of the club. Thankfully, a sea change has occurred at the J Davidson Stadium since the moribund wreck that existed at the end of the wretched 2016/17 relegation season and the club now looks progressive and professional both on and off the pitch.

I agree but pray tell me who ditched Doughty and appointed PP and NS ? .. the leadership you had issue with,.. so they didnt get everything wrong did they ;)
